Strictly success as Celebrity JustDance 2016 for Willen Hospice total announced

On 26th November 2016 we all gathered to support our local Celebrities dance the night away in a bid to win the Glitterball trophy and be crowned winner of Celebrity JustDance 2016. Police Commander Gez Chiariello took to the stage alongside the likes of Neil Russell Chief Executive of PJ Care and Dr Julie Mills, Principle and Chief Executive of the Milton Keynes College to dance a Cha Cha and a Foxtrot with their professional dance partners. Dan Sharp entertained us in his stunning white tutu with his freestyle dance to his rendition of swan lake, whilst Tony Cormano and his professional partner thoroughly amused us with his freestyle dance ‘Just one Cornetto’ . Shaun Rhodes, Head of Marketing for Centre:MK slipped into a somewhat figure hugging Spiderman outfit and danced to Tragedy by Steps. Francesco D’Errico of Franco’s Ices gave us his rendition of the Godfather.

But it was Jessica Bowden-Eyre of Audi UK who came out on top and went home with the title of Celebrity JustDance 2016 winner with Professional dance partner Alfie Sadowski, both Jess and Alfie definitely won over the audience and judges with their cheeky cha cha.

Richard Arnold joined the judging panel for the fourth year running together with vocal coach to the stars Yvie Burnett, Strictly sensation and cricket ledged Darren Gough and professional dancer and owner of bespoke dancewear clothing company JFDance James Moorcroft. After a long evening of fun filled entertainment The Arena MK remained as a beautiful ballroom to host Junior JustDance 2016 on Sunday 27th November – 8 local schools got together to compete for their own glitterball trophy. The children thoroughly enjoyed learning their own Cha Cha and Foxtrot routines. The judges were particularly impressed by the time and effort put into their outfits they had each created to dance in. Water Hall Primary School were crowned the winners of Group A Junior JustDance 2016, Loughton School also took home a glitterball trophy and were crowned the winners of Group B Junior JustDance 2016.

Accursio was delighted to announce a total figure raised of £28,004, vital funds that would make all the difference for Willen Hospice, his hometowns local hospice. What a success! The cheque was officially handed over to Willen Hospice on a match day at the MK Dons Stadium.

Over the 4 years of running Celebrity JustDance (formally known as “Strictly MK 2013”) we have raised a combined total of over £130,000 for Willen Hospice, Keech Hospice Care and MacMillan Cancer Support. It is with thanks to the citizens in and around Milton Keynes digging deep and getting together to raise such a fantastic amount of money to make huge a difference to so many families, thank you.
